Adam recently returned to Independent Studies after several years' hiatus. His primary area of study is music -- precisely what about music is unclear, but Adam is confident his studies will involve creation and technology, and ideally a connection to pressing social issues. Adam admits music is an" indulgent pursuit," and his real intent is to "move the needle forward on serious social issues and make the world a better place. :-) "
While pursuing his IS studies, Adam is also working full-time as a User Experience Designer at Google.org in San Francisco. He tells us:
"I have a small role in building projects to address global challenges like climate change adaptation, data transparency, and emergent issues in public health. Before my current appointment, I worked on Google Search user interfaces, am an art school dropout, a designer at Marketcircle (a Canadian business software firm), Research in Motion, and Apple. I am also a hack of a fire spinner, longboarder, and drummer.
And if any of what I'm interested in sounds interesting to you, please find me and get in touch!"
