| Administrative Musts | This page was last reviewed on January 25, 2012 |
There are a number of administrative details for you to attend to as an IS student and as a member of the University of Waterloo community. You are expected to learn what those are and discover many of the answers by your own savvy efforts.
We help out a lot at IS, as this web site attests. There is also a tremendous amount of helpful guidance in the IS Student Handbook. IS academic advisors are a wealth of information as are the office staff and your fellow IS students. Consult, ask, hunt.

Undergraduate Transcript Request
When you arrange for your UW e-address (or if your are using other email accounts for your official contact), be sure to include your full name and UW student identification number. UW considers your name and id number as your "signature" and this information needs to be on ALL documents for UW -- applications, correspondence (email, vmail, notes, etc.), assignments, exams ... you name it! Get in the habit of adding it to everything for UW and save yourself delays in processing your requests.
Typically, Monday to Wednesdays 10:00am until 5:00pm, 6:00pm. However, check our web site for summer changes.

Jobs as UW Projectionsists & Camera Operators
We have a poster in IS with regards to work as student projectionists and camera operators. They pay is reasonable at $15 an hour. They will train and usually like IS students because IS students have so much more flexibility in their day-time schedules when they take IS courses.
