Since 2005, Allan Babor has called the University of Waterloo his home. Originally from Newmarket High School, Allan began his studies at UW in Arts and Business Psychology Co-op, and changed programs from Sociology to Digital Arts Communication, finally finding himself pursuing a Bachelor of Independent Studies in Leadership Development at UW.
An essential pillar in Allan's life is being involved in the student campus community. He has had positions as UW Ambassador, Residence Don, President of the Arts Student Union, and Chair of the Arts Endowment Fund. Allan has also enjoyed being a three year veteran and captain of the Varsity Cheerleaders.
Most recently, Allan was voted President of the Federation of Students for 2009-2010, and continues his focus on student leadership, community development, and academic excellence. He expects to continue his academic goals into graduate studies.
Allan's choice to attend UW and the IS program was documented in this YouTube posting created in 2009 by the combined efforts of UW's Office of Marketing and Undergraduate Recruitment (MUR) and Communications and Public Affairs (CPA).
It has received nearly 1000 views so far!
Thanks, Allan for letting everyone know about the amazing opportunities available through IS at UW.
